January 05, 2015

Hey there.

Remember me? I hope you haven't forgotten about me like I've forgotten about you.

2014 has been a wild ride, I must say. In 12 months, I experienced more than I could have ever expected.

I collaborated with a few awesome companies, re-designed the blog, and tried my hand at fashion blogging (and loved it!).

I also packed up and moved to New York City, discovered that it's not all that it's cracked up to be - even though I still loved it, fought my way through my NYC bucket list and eventually a bigger bucket list, my 101 things in 1001 days.

I really tried my best to do it all in 2014.

The issue was that I couldn't do it all. Between an incredibly tough semester at school, my job as an RA, being involved in both my sorority and our Panhellenic council, dealing with some personal curveballs life threw my way, and managing a social life, I put this baby on the back burner.

And I'm glad I did. The last four months have been one of the most trying times I've experienced in a while, and I can't imagine how I would have managed blogging full time. After I moved back to Connecticut in August, a lot in my life changed - and although it took me a little while to adjust (we all know how much I hate change), I picked up the pieces and got through it. But August changed me as a person, and I think I like who I'm becoming. With the help of some amazing friends, and some not-so-great ones that showed their true colors, I'm moving on, and I'm taking The Caro Diaries with me.

No, this isn't the end of an era - it's the start of a new one. So I'm back. I may not post everyday - but I'm back and I hope you're ready for it.

2015, I'm ready for you. Cheers to starting on the right foot, and I'm so excited for you to see what's up my sleeve.

P.S. If you haven't as yet, head over to my Instagram - I'm giving away $400 to ShopBop with some fab friends of mine!

  1. Wishing you a happy 2015! No one can do it all - that's why this year I'm focusing on being my best self, and through that, respecting my need for personal time and not overworking so that I burn out and can't produce good quality work.

  2. I know what you mean when it comes to skipping out on your blog for a few weeks or months because of school. Last semester was probably my most difficult in terms of academics, so there were so many times where the blog was kinda lifeless and I couldn't focus on it. Hopefully things will improve (on the blog and in real life) for you this year!

  3. Welcome back to blogland! Sometimes you just need a break, but glad to see you back and hope this year is great for you!

  4. YAY! I'm so happy to have ya back :) I hope everything's good with you now...sometimes a busy semester mixed with personal drama is the recipe for disaster but I'm glad you pulled through!
