Last Spring, I was looking for a fun dress to wear to my sister's engagement party and I couldn't find a thing. I'm not even joking, I bought the most atrocious red lace dress that majorly aged me because I couldn't find a cocktail dress that was formal enough to wear, still flattering to my figure and fun to wear and dance all night.
Completely unsatisfied with my purchase, but 100% fed up of shopping, I quickly browsed Bloomingdale's, not expecting to find anything. It was there that I stumbled across the Halston Heritage rack, and this dress jumped out at me. I've been a longtime fan of Halston, so this was surreal for me, and the ombré style and the color was actually perfect for me.
Paired with a simple pair of black pumps, a black and gold wristlet clutch from Smythson and statement jewelry, I finished off the look.
These gold earrings are one of my favorites: a gift from family members from Anoushka by Ilmes. Perfect statement pieces to dress up any outfit, and the perfect compliment to any formal outfit I wear. I paired it with a gold and navy enamel cuff from Tuleste, and a gold and pearl ring.
